Physician Assistant

Yu Wang is the Health for All Physician Assistant. Yu performs a similar role to that of Physicians and residents at HFA.  As a Physician Assistant she can:

• Take a patient’s history and conduct a physical examination
• Order diagnostic  and laboratory tests such as blood tests/X-rays/ultrasounds/CT scan/MRI
• Communicate a diagnosis
• Prescribe medications on behalf of, and in consultation with her supervising Physician
• Following up on patients as needed
• Complete referrals to specialists and other service providers
• Counseling patients on preventive health care.
• Well baby visits and adult periodic health exams

The Physician Assistant works very closely with faculty Physicians who are available to her for consultation when needed. The patient can expect to be seen for 30 min for regular visits and 45-60 min for physical examinations.
