Nurse Practitioner

As the nurse practitioner, Jadie Stone performs a similar role to that of the family doctors and residents at HFA.  The nurse practitioner can:

• Communicate a diagnosis
• Prescribe medications (except controlled substances e.g. narcotics and sedatives)
• Order diagnostic and laboratory tests (e.g. blood tests and Xrays/ultrasounds/CT/MRI)
• Complete referrals to specialists

Patients seen by the nurse practitioner will be rostered to and have access to a family doctor (two half days per week). The patient can expect to be seen for 30 min for regular visits and 45-60 min for physical examinations.

The nurse practitioner is available Monday to Friday; 9-5pm.
